One of my cousins, I have recently learned, is obsessed with Chevron. So because I wanted some more crafting projects and I had some extra supplies sitting around I decided to make her a few things.
First I painted a purple and green chevron canvas. It was super easy to do using the chevron Frog Tape. I simply laid the tape out how I liked it and painted the purple stripes. I then removed the tape and painted the green stripes in the white spaces.
After several coats of both colors this was my finished background.
I wanted to personalize it a little bit, so I decided to add a T in white (the first letter of her first name).
I found a design that I liked online and used tissue paper and a sharpie to trace the T to my canvas. I then painted several coats of white paint and voila my beautiful, personalized, chevron canvas was complete.
Next, I decided to use my leftover corkboard squares, because I wasn’t going to need them and since she is still in High School I figured this is a great way for her to keep memories like pictures up.
I again used the Chevron patterned Frog Tape (seriously that stuff is a life saver!) and did some pink chevron stripes on the corkboard.
The chevron doesn’t exactly match up because of course I decided to knock this one out one night after work but I still think it looks cool.
Here are both the items together. Overall it was a quick and easy project.
